The Mahāvyutpatti (Tib: bye brag rtog byed) was first compiled in the early 9th century as a glossary to aid the translation of Sanskrit Buddhist scriptures into Tibetan. Later Chinese, Mongolian and Manchu equivalents were added. This version contains Sanskrit, Tibetan and Chinese.
