Textbook of Modern Colloquial Tibetan Conversations(book +audio)
Designed for students who can read Tibetan but need experience of colloquial language. The conversations deal with everyday situations and present patterns adaptable to other situations.
An accompanying tape gives phrases commonly used in everyday life. We recommend using both book and tape, as conversational phraseology is somewhat different than written grammar. Tape read by a Lhasa speaker
This extensive collection of Tibetan Proverbs offers a precious insight into the wisdom humour and traditions of Tibet. With subject-matters ranging from the natural landscape and livelihood of the people to human personality traits and the tenets of Buddhist philosophy these saying reflect the values and attitudes of the people who coined them and of their community.
Lhamo Pemba has transcribed the proverbs from their natural oral from into written Tibetan and has also provided an English translation with contextual explanation where appropriate.
This book is a testament to the folklore and culture of Tibet, and as such will be enjoyable and informative both for Tibetans and for other who share an interest in Tibet and its people.
Remarks: i got these books from a russian website dedicated only to tibetan language, i’ve edited the PDFs,put the covers, extracted the audio files from their website for the ” Textbook of Modern Colloquial Tibetan Conversation” and put all this together in this pack. i think that these books are for advanced students, i’m not sure though
